Finding a social skills group

I’ve read that it’s important for girls on the spectrum to be part of a social skills group with other girls of similar function levels to discuss life goals, boys, friends, body care, safety, and sex, but there aren’t too many options available in my area. this summer I’m going to stop making excuses and find a group that works for us-
-one of the groups that is already formed but 45 min away
– start a group on our own
– ask a sw that works with our family to start a group
– check with our psychiatrist and psychologist for options that I’m not aware of.
– see if one can be formed at school in the fall.

priority 1- social skills and prep for adulthood.
