What does disappointment mean

it’s amazing that our articulate kids with amazing vocabularies will still frequently stumble across common words that they don’t understand And when that is compounded with low frustration thresholds and often irrational or unrealistic expectations, not understanding a word like disappointment can have monumental consequences.
I would strongly recommend that in teaching your child communication and self advocating skills that you start with teaching them how to ask for or look up definitions to words or phrases that they don’t know.
it’s a skill that will last a lifetime.
