Very creative escape tactics

at 14 belle has many tricks under her belt to get out of doing something she doesn’t want to do. our goal is for her to eventually be able to say ” I’m concerned about going to class because the work is hard, I don’t feel like I fit in, and/ or I don’t get to be the boss” so we can build skills and problem solve solutions. For now, what we have is-
I don’t feel well.
I’m scared because we’re flying in a plane tomorrow ( she takes up to 10 flights a year without a problem and even begs for more adventures)
I hate those people online who were mean to me last year.
I’m afraid to leave my stuff here someone might touch it.
I can’t bake cookies I’m on a diet.
I’m too tired.

she’s very skilled at making the complaints timely ( sick right after an illness , anxious right before a trip) and is able to scare the staff enough that there’s usually a phone call home, but as relationships get built she gets caught in her theatrics with one wrong complaint ( accussing a teacher of ignoring her when they haven’t) and she realizes that either she has to get back on track or be more appropriate in how she handles fear and frustration
